ABOUT OUR CRAZY COVID YEAR

Our family of 5 came to Finland for a 6 week trip summer of 2020 to see aging family and to temporarily escape the monotony of working and studying at home during Covid.  We then made the "crazy" decision to just stay for a year!  Our family & friends were shocked, sure we'd gone mad, happy, jealous and/or worried. Many of them were also curious about our life and suggested we write a blog.  They wanted to know more about what life in Finland is like, especially for kids given Finland's stellar reputation in education.  My husband meanwhile was trying to figure out why Finland keeps getting ranked #1 happiest place to live in the World.  Let's see if our experience sheds any light on these topics.
